Established in 1998, Val's Body Esssentials is a small owner operator business running out of Albuquerque, NM. Until this year (2009) the creams and products were only available in a very limited market due to their "lack" of preservatives. Refusing to distribute the products with stabillizing shelf life preservatives, believing them to be harmful and to negatively effect the active ingredients of the creams, the only alternative was to remain a small scale company. A company which could actively monitor the life of the product as well as its results.
After many many requests to make these products more readily available, Val was notified by her one of her distributors that they had finally perfected a natural (99%) and completely PARABEN FREE cosmetic base with a shelf life of at least 12 months. Testing began, results were in, the creams were on! A year later, Val's Body Essentials created their paraben free skin care website, were she can still maintain strict control and monitor the distribution to ensure the best quality product.

"My best friend was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a couple of years ago. When something like that hits so close to home, you want to learn everything you possibly can about it. I knew that there was some kind of controversy regarding parabens and their role in breast cancer, but I didn't know enough. I researched, studied and became quite familiar with the entire subject. Although my choice against using preservatives in my creams originally stemmed from believing they would reduce the effectiveness of the essential oils, which I still believe, this discovery sealed the deal.
